Dear Borja,

Many thanks for sharing this great presentation! I really enjoyed it and your questions and conclusions reminded me pretty much on the island work I am doing. Area seems to be a fairly good predictor of species richness but is very unlikely the process behind it. Would indeed be great to see how different functional groups behave in your system.

Hi Julian,
Thanks for your words.
Yes, you are right. We are now compiling functional traits and a phylogenetic tree (from global trees) for all the species. The data is almost ready, but I have another project running at the community scale (on alpine sites), and the follow-up of analyzing the European database is a bit dormant...
